I grew up a Navy brat so we bounced between San Diego and Memphis as a child until my father retired and then my parents settled in Helenwood, TN.
Both my mother and father have passed at this point. I have a Brother (Robert), two Sisters (Janet and Teresa), and a plethora of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives.
I went to elementary school in San Diego.
Middle school was Huntsville Middle School in Huntsville, TN. I was mostly tortured on a daily basis by several cowardly punks. I hope they are all serving time at the moment with psychopathic cellmates.
High School was Scott County High School in Huntsville, TN. Not a whole lot better than my experiences in middle school but I had some wonderful friends in High School.
College was East Tennessee State University, UNC Chapel HIll and New York University.

I have basically been a crooner for as long as I can remember. I started learning music on the violin (hated it), then went to trombone (hated it), and finally settled on the saxophone and played the sax from middle school through college. I also sang in the high school chorus and played sax in the marching band.
My major at East Tennessee State University was Voice. I studied choral conducting for a short time at UNC Chapel Hill (NYU was Business Management). In college I sang in the chorus, played the saxophone in the marching band and for a sub-group of the chorus called the "Jazz Singers".
I have performed in musicals here and there, but primarily the singing and dancing I have done over the years since college was my involvement in three gay men's choruses.
Boston Gay Men's Chorus
Men Alive - The Orange County Gay Men's Chorus
Gay Men's Chorus of Houston (later became Bayou City Performing Arts)
(The photo is me and three great guys - Ed, Eric and Joey - who put together a quartet called "Jive Cats", we are performing the song "Java Jive" by Manhattan Transfer. Joey did not have time for a costume change between songs so it always makes me smile)
Germany (Berlin, Frankfort & Wilhelmshaven)
Iceland (Reykjavik, Blue Lagoon)
France (Paris)
England (London, Bath)
Italy (Rome, Venice)
Holland (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Delft) Belgium (Brussels)
Mexico (Puerto Vallarta)
Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Whistler)
Costa Rica
I have also driven through every contiguous state and been to Hawaii, just missing Alaska. My dogs were also with me on all those driving trips.
The love of my life left this world on August 1, 1997. Bill Williamson passed away from complications related to AIDS in Boston. He still watches over me today.
I have had the honor of being in three long-term relationships with very special men (Peter, John and Jeff) until I acquiesced to the truth - that I am just happier single with my dogs, and my closest friends.
